In South Africa, our primary focus is on developing and expanding our services and support for XAG autonomous agricultural drones and land robots. Position Overview:

The Technical Sales Specialist plays a critical role on our sales team by combining deep technical knowledge with strong customer engagement. You will drive sales, support clients throughout the purchasing process, and make sure they are fully trained to operate our equipment safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Engagement:
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities; build and nurture relationships with farmers, dealers, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct equipment demonstrations, explain technical details in a clear and compelling way.
  • Prepare and manage quotations, proposals, and sales documentation.
  • Maintain CRM data, pipeline reports, and follow all internal sales processes.
  • Technical Knowledge & Support:
  • Advise customers on the best equipment selection, setup, and configuration.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues both before and after sale.
  • Stay current on product specifications, innovations, and industry trends.
  • Deliveries, Training & After-Sales Service
  • Coordinate and oversee equipment deliveries on site.
  • Conduct client training sessions on safe operation, maintenance, and legal compliance.
  • Ensure customers are confident with the machinery and understand safety procedures.

 

Market Feedback & Reporting:
  • Collect feedback from customers on product performance and needs.
  • Provide weekly sales and market reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market changes; suggest strategic adjustments.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience with agricultural equipment, drones, or other technical machinery.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple clients and tasks independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across assigned territories.
  • Valid Remote Pilot Certificate: The candidate must possess a valid Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC).
  • Proficiency in English, with Afrikaans proficiency being strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset; enjoys working directly with farmers and technical challenges.
